I'm surviving........sort of
On Monday, Randy left with his parents and some scouts to go on the 50 mile bike ride (I think that's what they're doing). So it's just been Tripp and I at home. I thought I could handle being alone with Tripp fairly easily until last night. He either had a lot of gas pain or he just felt like screaming at the top of his lungs all night long. Needless to say I was totally exhausted today. It seems like when I want to take a nap, he doesn't want to and when he is sleeping, I'm not tired. I have 3 more days to "rough it" until my tag-team member comes back. Hopefully I'll be able to survive until then.

Look-alike Meter
MyHeritage: Family trees - Genealogy - Celebrities - Collage - Morph![]()
I took this idea of the look-alike meter off Chelsi's blog. It was fun! Now who do you think Tripp looks like?

My munchkin
Check it out!
We got our bike back! Our friend saw it while he was in town and called Randy to go check it out. It wasn't difficult for the cop to know that it was our bike when Randy opened our combination lock that was still on the bike. The kid who had the bike claimed he got it from a "free pile" around the corner. The cop went with him and the pile was actually there so the kid didn't get charged, but at least we have our bike, and it is locked up to the only thing we could find. This pipe on the side of our apartment.Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Growing sprout
Tripp had his 2 week checkup. He has grown 2 inches and gained 25 ounces from his last appointment. The doctor was surprised he had gained that much weight. The last time I was in his office was the day my milk came in and I was completely engorged and had problems trying to feed Tripp the entire day. Since my hormones were completely out of whack I couldn't stop crying especially when the doctor told me that Tripp was down 8% from his birth weight. So when the flood gates opened up in the clinic the doctor didn't know what to do with me so he sent me to the hospital to a lactation consultant. The consultant pumped me and I was fine after that. So that has been the only drama that we've had to go through until he got circumcised. Randy was brave and stayed in the room with him but I had to leave. Randy said that when the procedure was done, Tripp peed across the room and then pooped all over the table. It was hard seeing him cry so much. But afterwards he was completely out for about 3 hours. I think the drugs had something to do with that.

Birthday Bash
We started Randy's birthday by going to the Farmer's Market. We got lots of good stuff, including Rainier Cherries! Then Randy opened these sweet presents I got for him. Hyper Dash is our favorite. It's a good "get off your buns" game and made us really sweaty nasty after playing. And of course we finished with Randy's favorite -blueberry pie. Tripp even got his daddy a present -his umbilical cord! How exciting and nasty. Sorry Nichole but I had to post this pic of you playing Hyper Dash. Too fun!

To TLO & KareBear & SareBear
-Randy's Workout Every Day For St. Helens-
So far I'm up to:
60 situps
50 pushups
25 leg lunges on each leg
Curling Tripp in my Arms
Numbers increase each day but I'm going to add a jumprope to the mix.

Dude, where's my bike?
We had a bike sitting right here until yesterday. One of our neighbors pointed out that our bike had been stolen along with his and a few other bikes in our complex. We had two other bikes in the back that didn't get taken. But I think the joke is on the thief, because the bike they took had no brakes. It was also Randy's favorite bike, but what can you do? Randy rode around with a golf club looking for his bike but no luck. We filed a police report but I'm pretty sure we'll never see it again. In the last place we lived my CD player was stolen out of my car while I was at church. So I hope this doesn't become a trend in every place we move to.Monday, July 7, 2008

1. Open mouth 2. Insert foot
Randy and I were getting a little restless being in our apartment ALL day EVERY day so we decided to go to a barbeque/1st birthday party. While I was getting my food, a guy across from me mentioned how there were alot of pregnant ladies at the party. Then he looked at me and asked, "So when are you due?" OUCH! I pointed out that Randy was holding Tripp like 10 feet away from us. Another guy who was standing there made the comment, "I thought that only happened in the movies." Needless to say the guy was totally embarassed. I guess 6 days postpartum was too early for me to be seen in public.
