Fall Happenings

Here are a few of the things we have been up to this fall:

We went to the Children's Museum in Tacoma with our friends Tina and Benton. And we rode the light link rail again. Always an adventure!

 My kids could stay in the water area all day. I love Raidon's crazy face in this pic.

 Tripp was angry because his "dam" didn't stop all of the water flow.

 This rotten baby wouldn't wear a smock. Not sure if you can tell from the pic, but he is soaking wet!

 Then we went to the art area where Raidon decided to paint Baine. So now wet and covered in paint. When we were done with our art projects, I looked at Baine and his lips were blue and he was shivering. Poor baby! So I changed his shirt and put his jacket on. Next time I will remember to bring extra pants too.

 My boys loved the Spirograph. I loved all the colors of the finished project. Also love Raidon's tongue sticking out. That is some serious concentration right there.

 Deklan claimed this was one of his many "offices" at the museum.

 They love this air tube too. So fun to watch the scarves go through and wait for them to land on your face!

 We could spend all day at the museum. 3 hours wasn't enough for these kiddos.

 Deko did really well in soccer this fall and he even got a trophy. He scored a few goals this season and we found out that he is a defensive specialist. He loved to hang out by the goalie and get amazing stops and boot the ball to the other side.

 I took this on the day of their last soccer game. Tripp's team had a banquet and received a medal as well, I didn't take a pic though. Tripp scored several goals throughout the season and was very upset if they "lost" even though the score was never tracked. He is just as competitive as his parents :)

 Randy and I celebrated our 11th anniversary by going to a murder mystery dinner theater and it was so much fun! We were supposed to dress up like construction workers for the "Fix it or Forget it" theme. The actors/actresses were great and so was the audience participation. We laughed so much and ate a lot of super good food. We even got our own private table for two. There was a man in the audience who was 100 years old that they kept cracking jokes with and other older folks who just said the craziest things. We even got to be in the running for the "$100,000 home makeover award" -I didn't realize how bright the lights were on the stage until we got up there and couldn't see a thing. We were supposed to say what we would do if we won, and they didn't go for our rock wall and "fireman" pole idea. Probably cuz Randy suggested that the pole would go in our bedroom ;) At the end, Randy and I were both right in guessing who the murderer was. I guessed one lady and Randy guessed the other and they were in on it together! It was a great night!

Never a dull moment in this house. Hopefully I will be able to post the December happenings soon too. 

Pretty Incredible

Yeah, so I'm a little behind in posting this. But better late than never, right? Here are our pumpkins:

 Randy carved the bat and I carved the logo below to match our costumes

 We wore our costumes 4 times! It was crazy awesome. The pic below is from when we went to our ward party and couldn't wear masks, so we painted them on. We went to a Halloween party at the YMCA, we went to our ward trunk or treat, then to T-Lo's, and then on Halloween. We got a ton of candy that is still up in our closet right now. 

 This was only half the haul. I wish I had taken a pic of all of it. The candy filled a 13 gallon trash bag. No wonder my kids had cavities the last time we went to the dentist ;)

Due to gift cards that I received, I only had to pay $14 of my own money for all our costumes and we definitely got good use of them this year. I was a little sad that it was raining on Halloween and I didn't get as many trick-or-treaters. Last year they came in waves of 20 kids at a time. This year I probably only had 20 kids total show up. Which is why when Randy and the boys went down a street in our neighborhood, they received a handful of candy at each house. And because they were so cute, everyone wanted to take their picture.

Maris Farms

We went to Maris Farms with friends and family and it was awesome! We paid $7 admission and then were able to do EVERYTHING! Randy even had a blast. They had a fun playground for the kids to play on.

 We had Tripp hold Baine so he wouldn't jump out.

 Baine kept attacking these poor goats. As you can see, Randy is yanking him away. 

 Throwing games 

 Pedal tractors were fun for all ages. There were also smaller tractors for the little kids 

 Mineshaft slide was awesome. The slide was super big and long and went underground. 

 These roller tubes were sweet too. I guess we know what a hamster feels like now.

 Randy was even doing somersaults/flips inside to propel it forward

The kiddos got a little crazy with them.

The jump pillow was a favorite. Randy jumped so much with the kids that sweat was pouring down his face.

And the corn maze. Which I think we went through in record time.

This ginormous corn pit/room was sweet. So much better than a sandbox! I am still finding kernels of corn around my house.

We also saw live pig races, which were super fun to watch and cheer for. The kids and I also went through the speleo cave. Click here to see pics of it. On the outside it said you had to be under 5'10" and 180 lbs to try the challenge. So I thought, "what the heck? I'll give it a try." I started crawling on my hands and knees and soon had to start sliding on my tummy. I went up, down, and through several small holes. It was a small trailer but felt like it went on forever! I was ready to get out. I had to keep my body curved almost the whole time to get through. I was a little sweaty when I was done, but glad that I had accomplished it. It was fun, even though it was tiring. This was a great pumpkin patch to visit and super fun. We will definitely be visiting it again next year.
