We've been hitting up yard sales the past few weekends and while I was looking around at one, Tripp found this wagon and started walking away with it. And for a dollar I thought it was a pretty good deal. It keeps Tripp entertained for quite awhile. He likes to put his toys in it and pull them around.
The only mistake we made was putting him in the wagon. Now we can't seem to get him out of it.

Never too young.......
to do CHORES!!!!
(and a quick update of the recent events around here)
Tripp loves to take out the garbage with his daddy! Next we're hoping to show him how to sweep and do the dishes.
Pickle went through the temple on Saturday.
He had his farewell on Sunday that we were able to go and listen to him speak. I think you are going to be an awesome missionary, the Brazilians won't know what hit them!
And I got a new nephew! Born on Friday, here's Titan with his grandpa.
I decided that since my 5th wedding anniversary is coming up soon, I wanted to do something fun. And to do fun stuff it usually requires some money. So I started an anniversary fund. We've been gathering all of our loose change and putting it in this jar. We will be accepting donations for the next few months cuz our anniversary is in November ;)
Hope everything is well with all of you blogstalkers out there!

Brian decided we should all go to the Mariner's game as a huge group and go watch Lyle Overbay and the Blue Jays play at the same time.Well, Lyle hit a dong his first at bat and the rest of the game continued that way, the Mariners losing 4 to 11.Brian,Nick and I got to talk to Lyle before the game and I gave him the secret handshake to success apparently.

1st cut and fair
We finally gave in and cut Tripp's super long baby hair. It makes me feel like he's not my baby anymore, now he's a boy. There's a few butch spots but overall, we don't think it's too bad for his first cut. He cried the whole time the clippers were on and it was difficult to keep him still for Randy. This is how it turned out:
My grown up little man

I love his smile in this pic.
We went to the fair last weekend which was pretty neat. Admission was free, we just had to pay $5 for parking and there were several events to watch once we got in . We watched this comedy juggler first. Here he is balancing a stick on his chin with a saw spinning on top while juggling hammers and standing on a balancing board on top of a saw horse. Pretty crazy!
His finale was juggling the flaming torches on top of the enormous unicycle. Randy really wanted to ride this. Randy learned how to ride unicylces when he was in college.
There were also several free kids' activities. We went to the rubber duck fishing event. It was super hot and Tripp loved playing in the water. Randy and I both got sunburned while Tripp walked away with an even darker tan and no sunburn.
Fishing for the perfect duck
We also watched the hypnotist, and when I say we I mean Randy, I was chasing Tripp around the whole time. One of the participants was supposed to by Bruce Lee and he spoke Chinese to us -pretty entertaining. We also watched a comedy act by the Brothers from other Mothers. They were fun to watch and are actually Guiness World Record holders. Tripp was yelling when they were on stage and one of them pointed at him and said, "Ya, I yell like that when I have poopy diapers too." We loved the Diabolo act. Randy learned how to do diabolo in college too and wanted to show them up. A Diabolo is known as a chinese yo-yo and is pretty fun to play with. I'm not very good at it but Randy could do most of their tricks. Here's a short video of them at the end of their routine:

little guy, not so little anymore
My little man is no longer a baby, he turned 1. Can't believe a year has already gone by? We started the day by waking him up and dragging him along with us so he could cheer us on as we played on a church softball team. Then we got things ready for the party and I kept trying to put him down for a nap before his party at 3, but he would have none of that! We had friends and family meet us at a park to celebrate his birthday -and it was so gorgeous and warm, perfect weather to go to a park. Here's Tripp with the funny little cake I made him:

Sleeptalkers?
So I've been known to talk in my sleep occasionally. I've sat up straight and cussed out Tera, I've tried to sell AOL to Zayna (that was when I was a telemarketer, bah!), and spoken several nonsense ramblings to Randy. But I had a first a few weeks ago. I had a dream that I was standing over the tub picking up Tripp's toys and my attacker came running down the hall and turned to go into the bathroom and right as he entered...............yup, blood-curdling scream. I not only woke myself up but Randy as well with him dazed and confused wondering what all the screaming was about. Not fun to explain at 3 in the morning why I woke up my husband.
Funny thing is, Randy likes to talk in his sleep too. When we were first married, He used to sing Russian songs in his sleep. And he speaks so clearly, I can't tell he's asleep! I recently found out that this is a trait we have obviously passed to our son. I have seen him smile in his sleep, laugh out loud, and I heard him babbling the other night -only to go into the room to find he is out cold. So I guess I just have a crazy sleeptalking family. What about yours, any sleeptalkers in your homes?
