Tripp's baptism

Tripp was baptized in August. I can't believe my baby is old enough to get baptized. This was the pic I used on his invitations
Tripp looking handsome on his baptism day
We had a busy day. Tripp had a flag football game before his baptism and so did Deko. Deko and I walked in right before it started so I was grateful someone snapped this pic of them before the baptism. Randy and Tripp said the water was super hot and Tripp told me that when he came out of the water that he felt a lot happier and different.
It was a good day and we were so thankful that Tripp had such amazing support at his baptism with lots of friends and family. I may or may not have gotten a little emotional ;)

Tripp's birthday

Tripp wanted to go bowling for his 8th birthday this year, which was the end of June.
I won a gift certificate for Groupon and ended up paying 35 cents for his birthday party which included bowling for 6 and a pizza. I love a good deal. Tripp invited his friend Gabe to party with us.

I even beat Randy in both games we played so it was a super excellent day ;)

Tripp requested a fruit pizza for his birthday cake
My mom gave him a gift card to Amazon and this is what he picked out with it.

On his actual birthday he had to have surgery. Poor baby! He had to have an extra tooth removed to make room for his permanent tooth to come in. I thought he looked a little robotic with all those wires sticking to him. He was knocked out and woke up with a killer headache and grumpy attitude.
But the next day he went to scout camp. Raidon and I picked him up on the last day of camp. They had super hot weather the whole week.

Baggins Birthday

My rotten baby turned 2 earlier this month. We celebrated by going to Burger King for dinner and then cupcakes and presents at our house.
This little stinker blew out the candles before we sang "Happy Birthday" so we had to relight them for him.

I got Baine a stick horse since he kept riding around on our stick that we keep in our sliding door.
But he doesn't get it. He holds the horse out in front of him with straight arms and runs around. Pretty entertaining!
I also got him a baby (which Randy wasn't too happy about). A few weeks before his birthday, we went to a thrift store and he found a naked baby and freaked out when I told him to put it down when it was time to leave. Now this baby goes everywhere with us. And I have caught all of my other boys playing with baby too. I guess I should have bought babies a long time ago :)

 My cute little poser!

Fun Run

Tripp and Deklan participated in a Fun Run on Saturday.
I told the boys to show me their "game faces" and this is what I got:

This was before the start of Deklan's race with the race coordinator outlining the course for us.
Deko ran a 1K with Kindergartners and 1st graders

Took him about 6 minutes to finish
Tripp's group was 2nd and 3rd graders and they were supposed to run a 2K but the course official forgot to have them turn in the woods, so not sure exactly how far he went.

Love this picture of him giving a girl on the sideline a high five. Didn't know I captured it until I reviewed my pics later.
He finished at 7 mins 20 secs. I actually set my timer for his race :)
And the race support team! Baine got this baby for his birthday and he goes everywhere with us.
It was a beautiful sunny day and the race was in the morning before it got too hot. Couldn't have been more perfect and they are excited to run in it again next year.

Old time photos

We took advantage of the free "old time photos" at Old Cannery this weekend. It was pretty sweet! Too bad we couldn't get Baine to look at the camera :( little stinker!

And you can bet we ate our fill of free hot dogs, pop, and a sample of fudge. Too fun!

Ward Talent Show

We wanted to do something for our ward talent show this year and this is what we came up with:

We started the night with a yummy potluck and then the program started. We got to see a gymnastics demonstration, light saber battle, ventriloquist act, piano and violin solos, dance and tap routines, and skits by the young men and women. It was an entertaining night for sure!

No color change

The predictions:
We hadn't told the kids that I was prego, and when my ultrasound appointment got pushed back on Monday I decided to take Tripp with me. The whole time he was asking me why we were there and I wouldn't tell him. Then we got into the room and the tech said, "We are just going to take a few pictures of the baby...." And Tripp immediately said, "What?!? Baby?" It was super cute. So for family night we all made our guesses of what the baby will be. The tech put the gender of the baby in an envelope that I took to my friend. She made us delicious cake balls with the inside color revealing baby's gender.

We were excited that Brian, Jenny, Jill, and Jordan (and kids) could find out with us. When they got to our house, they all had to make a gender prediction by blowing up a balloon and writing their names on it. The numbers were pretty even. It was super fun!
