Have you heard of this?

This is the S2h replay watch. For every 60 minutes of activity, you earn a rewards code. Then you go to there website and redeem prizes. It's only $20, and I think it's excellent motivation to get moving more. Now I just have to get Randy to buy one for me.....

Looks like chocolate, but it's actually.....

...brown marker! Not sure how he opened it, but he definitely had fun. Tripp asks me every day when we are going to go to a baseball game. I was sick of the question, so we made this counting chain. Now he can count down the days to the game and the train ride. Can you tell he's excited? He's even wearing his Mariners shirt.
And for some reason he wanted me to take a picture of his hand. That's why he's holding it up.

Life these days

Tripp, Deko, and I were eating waffles for breakfast. I reached over and took a bite of Tripp's waffle and he said, "You eat my waffle, punk!" I laughed, but I'm not sure what to think about that comment. I guess I need to watch what I say.

Tripp had a dentist appointment today. I had him practice opening his mouth for the dentist. The last couple of times we were at the dentist, Tripp cried and had to sit in my lap. So I was trying to get him more prepared this time. They put Tripp in a chair to take x-rays of his teeth and he had his mouth wide open the whole time. It was pretty cute. He didn't cry at all and his teeth are awesome. The dentist who saw him was really nice. She even looked at Deklan's 6 little teeth. Tripp got a token when he was done to get a prize. He picked the baby dinosaur that he is holding up.
We had a gorgeous sunny day this week, so we went out and laid in the grass. Deklan loves picking the grass and dandelions. It's tough trying to keep it out of his mouth.
I love this happy man!

That's what's new with us. Taking life one day at a time and hoping for more warm sunny days. How can you not love these guys to pieces?

Success!

We participated in the 3rd annual Adult flashlight egg hunt this year. It was wicked awesome! They made us run a bit before we got to the eggs and 2,000+ eggs were gone in about 30 seconds. I collected 30 eggs, Tina got 20-30 (so she says;), Jordan got 18 eggs and several bags of chips and cans of pop, and Randy got 63 eggs! I had 2 numbers in my eggs and won Milk Duds and Kit Kats, Jordan won playing cards, and Randy won the grand prize! He won this heavy barbeque gift basket............now if we had a grill, we'd be in business! Randy got his picture taken and it should be posted here when they write about it.

Willy was watching Tripp, Deklan, and Alyssa in the car. They watched all of us take off and a few seconds later they saw several flashlight beams coming toward them. He said it looked like "aliens!" We played putt-putt glow golf before the hunt and Randy and I won a free game of golf and I won my church basketball game this morning. So we have had one lucky day full of winning and prizes. Let's see how long this lucky streak lasts.....

B & A fools

Who doesn't like before and after pics? So here is our island when we moved in: And after we painted it (you might also notice that I actually have a stove in this pic. The first week we lived here we didn't have one): Some chairs I bought off craigslist (they smelled horrible, the cushions were nasty and the fabric was ripped on some of them):
This was our first reupholstering project and it was really fun. I also put a coat of stain on the chairs. And these last 2 pics are of my April fools jokes. These fun little hamburgers are actually Nilla wafers, grasshopper cookies, red & yellow frosting, and sesame seeds. They were fun and delicious.
And for dinner we had CAKE! This is meatloaf with mashed potato "frosting." I got the idea from this blog. It has some really good recipes. I've tried quite a few of them and they have all been amazing and they are pretty easy to follow. Thanks for blogging about it Jen!

Goofy Boys

We moved this month into a tiny 700 sq. ft. apartment. Randy and I are now assistant apartment managers here and get to deal with all sorts of crazy things. It's interesting to say the least. I think this was the last picture I took in our old apartment. Tripp is in love with the floors. He rides his bike around the island about 20 times a day. The first few weeks we lived here, Tripp kept asking if he could go home now. It was so sad, but I think he has finally adjusted. There is a play area right outside our door where he has met several friends. And this is where you can find Deklan most of the time. He eats a ton! I feel like I'm feeding the tank constantly. And we recently painted the island. I will post pics when its completed. We also just reupholstered some chairs I got off craigslist, I'll post those too. When I cook at this bar, I feel like I should be on Rachael Ray or something. I love it! Oh my little man is so messy!

And since the second bedroom is so small, Tripp had to downsize his bed. This spoiled boy was sleeping on a full size bed, but now he's on a twin. The poor guy has only fallen off a few times. And he's holding up his new found love, dinosaurs. I believe we have read every dinosaur book in the library and watched every dinosaur video on Netflix.
I love this happy little guy! It is so easy to get him to smile.
My favorite part of the day: When my boys play together.
I love these goofy boys!
