5K Happy

I know I'm awful at updating this blog, but this is something I wanted to remember from this year. I ran in 4 5K races with every member of my family! And it was so fun!
The first race was in May and was a Color Run at our High School with Tripp. This was super fun!
I didn't know how fast Tripp was. He really pushed me to go faster and finish quickly.
He is such a character! We both had pink stains on our face afterwards. I had several pink dots on my forehead and a pink elbow. Tripp told me not to worry cuz they just looked like zits. Oh boy!
My second race was in July and was a Bubble Run with Deko at the fairgrounds. It was so much fun going through colored bubbles with this guy.
This race didn't go as quickly, but I didn't mind. On our shirts it says, "Good clean run." But our shoes got super soggy and muddy at the bubble stations in the grass. We had a bubble drop at the beginning of the race and then 5 colored bubble stations throughout. Then we ended with a huge bubble shooting cannon and dance party. Deko smiled the whole time.
I loved how bubbly our legs looked after the stations.

 Super Fun!
Randy organized and put on a 5K for the community in September. I had no idea how much work goes into preparing and running a race. Randy is so amazing! It was a family fun run. This was the only pic I took, but I ran in it with all of my boys. Most of the time I was pushing a double stroller loaded with 3 rotten boys -Raidon, Baine, and Finnik. Tripp and Deko got in the front of the line and took off and I didn't see them until the finish line. Brian came and DJ'd for it and Willy and Carol helped with the sign in table. We also had several volunteers along the course. It was quite the production and went well with no injuries.
One week after Randy's race, we ran in the Warrior Dash. It was a beautiful day! There were 12 obstacles to go through with a huge water slide and mud pit at the end. It was so fun running with my lover! He entertained me the whole time.

Showering off at the end. This water was so cold!
After running with Randy in this race, I had run a race with everyone in my family. It was super fun and I can't wait for the running season next year! I already signed my whole family up to do the bubble run again since it was my favorite.

Zoolights

Deklan and I went to Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo with out friends Tina and Benton. It rained the whole time, but it was pretty cool
Had to take a picture of the 12th man tree.

Tina brought us hot apple cider in a canteen that kept us warm

I loved all the neat light displays. There were so many and they were so cool. Definitely worth going to, even in the rain! That should conclude all that we did in 2016, well most of it anyway. Now I need to catch up with 2017!

Christmas Eve

Can you believe that I didn't take any pictures on Christmas Day? At least I have these from Christmas Eve. I love watching the Nativity acted out by the kiddos.
Finnik got to be baby Jesus this year!

Grandma pulled out some bells and gathered all the grandkids to play us some Christmas Carols.
 It was pretty entertaining
We also had a "sled" competition. We built a sled out of candy and then raced them.
Ryan was on our team. It was fun and some of the sleds were pretty crazy!
We went to the Festival of the Nativity in Tacoma again this year. Baine was being a stinker and wouldn't dress up. He wouldn't even part with his bag of goldfish cracker for the picture either.

Halloween

We were Pirates for Halloween and it was awesome!
Baine
 Finnik even dressed up
 Deklan
 Tripp
Raidon -I don't know where he gets these poses, but they keep showing up.
 One tough crowd
 Grrrrowwwlll! Hot stuff!
Here's the fam at our Ward's trunk or treat
Deklan and I went to a Day of the Dead celebration at the library where we got to paint sugar skulls and eat special bread that they only make on November 1st and 2nd. It was yummy!
It was also fun learning about the Day of the Dead celebration and how they celebrate their ancestor's lives by setting up tables with that person's favorite foods and other items.
We were supposed to dedicate our skulls to someone who had died so I dedicated mine to my Grandpa LeFevre.

Maris Farms and Momma

My momma came to visit us at the beginning of October to meet the little Finnik-son. While she was here, we took her to Maris Farms. It was super fun and the weather cooperated with us. It was overcast, but never rained on us.
The cow train is always super fun!

She had an in-depth conversation with the turkey
The fun Speleo cave. Randy did it this time. I had Finnik in a baby carrier and he was only a couple of weeks old. My body wasn't ready for that craziness yet. This was also Finnik's first day out and I didn't get a single picture of him.
The jump pillow was super fun too! I was just a spectator, but judging by their faces -it was a blast!

Pedal tractors! They definitely got their exercise in for the day.

The zip line was new this year.
Ever wondered what a hamster feels like? We know now!

We also got to watch pig races. We loved cheering on those little squealers!
The big corn room is sweet! Found dried corn in my house for weeks afterwards, but it was worth it!
 I love my Momma!
We ate lots of good chinese food and even took her to the dollar theater to watch Finding Dory. It's always fun when Grandma comes to visit! Just wish she could stay longer!
