Baggins Birthday

My rotten baby turned 2 earlier this month. We celebrated by going to Burger King for dinner and then cupcakes and presents at our house.
This little stinker blew out the candles before we sang "Happy Birthday" so we had to relight them for him.

I got Baine a stick horse since he kept riding around on our stick that we keep in our sliding door.
But he doesn't get it. He holds the horse out in front of him with straight arms and runs around. Pretty entertaining!
I also got him a baby (which Randy wasn't too happy about). A few weeks before his birthday, we went to a thrift store and he found a naked baby and freaked out when I told him to put it down when it was time to leave. Now this baby goes everywhere with us. And I have caught all of my other boys playing with baby too. I guess I should have bought babies a long time ago :)

 My cute little poser!

Fun Run

Tripp and Deklan participated in a Fun Run on Saturday.
I told the boys to show me their "game faces" and this is what I got:

This was before the start of Deklan's race with the race coordinator outlining the course for us.
Deko ran a 1K with Kindergartners and 1st graders

Took him about 6 minutes to finish
Tripp's group was 2nd and 3rd graders and they were supposed to run a 2K but the course official forgot to have them turn in the woods, so not sure exactly how far he went.

Love this picture of him giving a girl on the sideline a high five. Didn't know I captured it until I reviewed my pics later.
He finished at 7 mins 20 secs. I actually set my timer for his race :)
And the race support team! Baine got this baby for his birthday and he goes everywhere with us.
It was a beautiful sunny day and the race was in the morning before it got too hot. Couldn't have been more perfect and they are excited to run in it again next year.

Old time photos

We took advantage of the free "old time photos" at Old Cannery this weekend. It was pretty sweet! Too bad we couldn't get Baine to look at the camera :( little stinker!

And you can bet we ate our fill of free hot dogs, pop, and a sample of fudge. Too fun!

Ward Talent Show

We wanted to do something for our ward talent show this year and this is what we came up with:

We started the night with a yummy potluck and then the program started. We got to see a gymnastics demonstration, light saber battle, ventriloquist act, piano and violin solos, dance and tap routines, and skits by the young men and women. It was an entertaining night for sure!

No color change

The predictions:
We hadn't told the kids that I was prego, and when my ultrasound appointment got pushed back on Monday I decided to take Tripp with me. The whole time he was asking me why we were there and I wouldn't tell him. Then we got into the room and the tech said, "We are just going to take a few pictures of the baby...." And Tripp immediately said, "What?!? Baby?" It was super cute. So for family night we all made our guesses of what the baby will be. The tech put the gender of the baby in an envelope that I took to my friend. She made us delicious cake balls with the inside color revealing baby's gender.

We were excited that Brian, Jenny, Jill, and Jordan (and kids) could find out with us. When they got to our house, they all had to make a gender prediction by blowing up a balloon and writing their names on it. The numbers were pretty even. It was super fun!

February and March 2016

For Valentine's day, our family went to Great Wolf Lodge. This is us sharing our free tiny scoop of ice cream. First thing we did when we got there was hit up the water park! It was super fun. The big boys loved the slides and Raidon and Baine loved the wave pool.

We went to the story time clock tower show. They have kind of creepy robot characters sing and tell stories. We didn't stay for the whole thing and it was so packed we could barely hear.

I thought this fireplace chimney was cool

Raidy playing with Deko's valentines in the room. I didn't know our room was so big. It had 2 queen beds, a sleeper sofa, and then another room with a king bed and another bathroom. It was pretty sweet.
That night we played MagiQuest until the little boys were tired, then Randy and Tripp ran around playing until 10 pm when the game shuts down. All around the hotel are things you can point a magic wand at and they will talk to you or make sounds. There were quests we had to go on and find certain objects to continue to the next quest. Super fun!
The next day Randy, Tripp, and Deko went to the waterpark again to go down more tube slides while we waited for Baine to wake up. We eventually had to get him up at 11 am to check out on time. Then we went to the arcade to play. Raidon picked this little whack-a-mole type alien game and at the end, it went nuts! I took this pic after it spit out about 200 tickets.
It's a super small game, Baine can play it. It kept shooting out tickets until it reached around 800. A group of teenagers gathered around us and a game attendant finally came over to turn it off. And he let us keep the tickets! So you know we got 800+ tickets worth of candy!
It was a fun stay and adventure!

We went to Blockfest again this year at the middle school. Tripp and I built this arch

Raidy loves these foam blocks and never wanted to leave
Baine loves to knock them over

We had some nice weather, so the little boys and I walked to the river near our home

This is Baine and Raidon's favorite thing to do at the river........... chase the millions of bunnies that are around there. One day we only saw one, and the next we saw nine. You can bet we chased every single one of them. Well, I hoped you enjoyed my binge blogging (just finished 5 posts, whew). I can finally say I am caught up.

Life in 2016

Deklan was student of the month in his class and he had to fill out this poster and take "Little Husky" home with him. He was supposed to take care of Little Husky and write about his adventures with him.
He took Husky to a birthday party for a friend in his class.
Husky also slept with him each night.

For Christmas, my mom got our family tickets to Monster Jam in January at the Tacoma Dome. It was crazy loud and super fun. Lots of good beats were played and the different events were fun to watch.
We were thankful to Aunt Jill who lent us these ear muffs to protect these little ear drums.
Randy and I just used ear plugs and it was still loud!
Gravedigger is always a favorite. Sadly he flipped in the final round and lost to Max D.

Randy went to Ben and Shannon's sealing at the Draper temple. It sounds like he had quite the time with his siblings and family that weekend, but this was the only picture he took.

Life wouldn't be complete without this tower of boys at Bri and Jenny's house.
Too much fun! Just missing Baine and Traccor :(

Does anyone else have this many pics of their kids sleeping in weird areas? My kids are pros at it! I think Baine learned it from Raidy.
 This is my favorite!
