Upgrade
For the past few months Tripp has been flipping this chair over and using it as a slide. So I decided to get him a real slide to play with.

Happy Holidays!
We had a lot of fun taking our Christmas pics this year. Jordan took our pics and got Tripp to smile everytime (no surprise there, the kid is pretty goofy;).
Tripp got to see Santa twice this year. This one is at a furniture store. Tripp even touched his beard. I think he was grossed out cuz his hand is still sticking up after touching it -like it was germ infested or something.
We visited this Santa at the High School where they had a free community dinner and all the kids got a present after sitting on Santa's lap. We went with Tripp's friend Gabe.
I hope all of you are enjoying this holiday season. And good luck with 2010!

I love my VT
My visiting teacher came over today and she phrased the typical -"Is there anything you need help with?" question in a way that made me say yes. She asked me to name one thing I would like to get accomplished today. I had brought this large box home from work a couple of weeks ago planning on making it into a playhouse for Tripp. It had been sitting on the guest bed the whole time taking up space (and probably would have stayed there a lot longer if it wasn't for my VT). She told me to pull it out and we went to work. It was a lot more enjoyable making the house with someone. Here is what we came up with:
I didn't make the door large enough so he always hits his head on the top of the door frame.
Back window
Side window
other side window

Tripp has been playing with it nonstop. So if you need any gift ideas, get a big box. Inexpensive and lots of fun. Making this house reminds me of a house my mom made for us several years ago when my sisters and I were little. Her's was more blinged out than mine. She painted it to look just like a real house with flower pots under the windows and everything. I enjoy reliving those memories with my son. Thanks mom for the awesome idea!

5 years of bliss
Can't believe I've been married for five years already, isn't that crazy? This year was Randy's turn to plan the anniversary, so he surprised me with a night at the Great Wolf Lodge! This place is designed for kids and I felt like one while I was there. We had races in the halls, hopscotch on the carpet, and dance-offs in the elevator. We had a crazy fun time!
He reserved us a Luxury King Balcony suite. Man, that bed was huge! I couldn't even touch Randy on the other side.
This was the view from our room's balcony. We had a blast going down the Tornado water slide that's lit up in the back.
I loved the antler chandelier!
The first thing we did was play in the indoor waterpark. This is a pic of the kid area. Complete with a large bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water on children every few minutes. Yeah, we totally stood under it to get dumped on. The only mishap we had was going down the tornado water slide. When sliding up the sides and coming back down to the water in the middle, it creates kind of an entering-a-wake effect and my foot bounced up and hit Randy right in the knee. Hurt both of us pretty bad, but we kept sliding anyway. I have to say, I was really missing my baby when I was there. I kept saying, "Tripp would have fun on that." I even wanted to go pick him up from Grandma's so he could be with us.
My rexy hubby in front of part of the wave pool and other fun toys-that you can't really see in the pic.
We absolutely loved this fireplace! We played a few games of cards in front of it.
This is what happens when you ask strangers to take your pic-blurry pics. After he took it, he even told us he had steady hands. I guess just not when he was taking our pic :(

We hit up the arcade as well. Skeeball is my favorite game. We got enough tickets to get a handful of tootsie rolls.
We had dinner, in a TENT! I told Randy that this was my kind of camping. We told the waitress it was our anniversary and she came out with these balloons tied to a cup full of gummy worms and bears-and then brought another cup asking us if we wanted more. Of course we want more!
We got to watch these robotic creatures sing and dance for us at "storytime" before bedtime.

Pony rides
(Make sure you turn your sound up to hear him laugh)
I love his little laugh! At first I was the pony and Tripp was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe and he started making a clicking noise. I just had to get a video of it, so I made Randy be the pony. I love my silly little boy!
