Trekkies

About a month ago, Karebear, Gavitron, and Reesey piecey came to visit and we were able to go to Northwest Trek with them. We had fun and got to see plenty of animals. This pic -they're standing in front of the bear exhibit. But you can't really see the bear in the background.

We had to wait for this bison to move so we could keep going. He was a beast!

I love that they are sitting in a box that says, "Educational toys" A little ironic, don't you think?

We love when family come to visit! Can't wait to see you again!

My tiny dancer

Tripp absolutely loves to dance. Any noise that he hears that even remotely sounds like music, he'll dance to. His newest style is tippy toe dancing (?) don't know where he got that from. He loves to sing to the "boom, boom" song. Notice how well he dances until he discovers Randy with the camera in the corner. The only thing he loves more than dancing is the camera.

Weird Effects

When I dressed Tripp for church this morning I thought he looked like a cowboy. So I put on his hat and then realized I left the camera in the car overnight. So the camera was cold and it was warm inside, what does that equal? Foggy pics! I actually think they turned out pretty neat, even though it wasn't the intended outcome. So if you're trying to find new effects for pics, just leave your camera in your car during a cold night!Yeah, he really wasn't in the mood for his picture to be taken, hence the sad/mad face.

Leavenworth-been there, done that

We decided to rock the Leavenworth Marathon this weekend. There were 1600 participants this year -the most they've ever had. We got lucky with nice sunny weather this year versus the rain we ran in last year.We weren't feeling as ambitious as we were last year when Randy and I ran the half marathon. We ran the relay marathon which consisted of 6 legs of 4 to 4.5 miles each leg. Randy got us rolling with the first leg. He had to run up a hill and back down. (He's in the yellow shirt and blue socks, nice combo)Tera (my sis) had the second leg. Which I think is the most beautiful one to run because it goes right through a park and along the river.I hit up the third leg-the shortest leg at only 4 miles. We had a wrist sweatband as a baton to pass off to each other and after it had been on two sweaty arms I put it in my hair. Randy took this pic right as I was taking it out to pass it to Nick.We were very glad Nick came at the last minute to run with us so we wouldn't have to run multiple legs. He ran the fourth leg which is the same hill Randy had to run (we went around the same course twice). Nick wanted to beat Randy's time so he started sprinting at the end and beat his time by a minute.My mom, the birthday girl, ran the fifth leg (pretty one through the park). And we were so busy cheering for her that we forgot to get a pic of her running. so we took a pic of her at the aid station right after.Joann (mom's friend) finished us off with the sixth leg. Here's a pic of her with our finishing time.And of course we had to take a pic of all of us at the end. Tripp and Brielle were our mini-marathon support team. Way to go Team CHAOS!

It's impossible to go to Leavenworth without going to the hat store and the pretzel taste shop. If you've been to Leavenworth, you know what I'm talking about. Here's some of the sweet hats we found.



Randy was able to talk Nick into trying the super hot sauce at the pretzel shop. This was the result:

We also went to Coldstone for birthday ice cream for mom. We found out that Brielle is crazy about ice cream. She would scream until there was ice cream on her spoon to eat.
Another Ice cream shop We also decided we needed to eat some brats. Nick and Randy are sporting the jackets we got from the race.We stayed in a cabin that had this awesome large chess set.
There were also farm animals there to look at. Tripp actually said "bock, bock" to the chickens. -first time he's ever said that. and the non-photogenic llama.

We had a lot of fun this year and look forward to next year.

A boy and his wagon

We've been hitting up yard sales the past few weekends and while I was looking around at one, Tripp found this wagon and started walking away with it. And for a dollar I thought it was a pretty good deal. It keeps Tripp entertained for quite awhile. He likes to put his toys in it and pull them around. The only mistake we made was putting him in the wagon. Now we can't seem to get him out of it.

(and a quick update of the recent events around here)Tripp loves to take out the garbage with his daddy! Next we're hoping to show him how to sweep and do the dishes.

Pickle went through the temple on Saturday.
He had his farewell on Sunday that we were able to go and listen to him speak. I think you are going to be an awesome missionary, the Brazilians won't know what hit them!
And I got a new nephew! Born on Friday, here's Titan with his grandpa.
I decided that since my 5th wedding anniversary is coming up soon, I wanted to do something fun. And to do fun stuff it usually requires some money. So I started an anniversary fund. We've been gathering all of our loose change and putting it in this jar. We will be accepting donations for the next few months cuz our anniversary is in November ;)
