Incredible Boys

Deklan wanted an Incredibles birthday party and this is what he got...

A sweet Omnidroid pinata

Does anyone have photogenic children? It is near impossible to get a good pic of these crazy boys. I made their Incredibles shirts -they were quite a pain.

We played a few games. This was our "strong man" competition. To see who could throw the "boulder" the farthest. Our boulders were paper mache balloons wrapped in streamers.

 Next we had Dash races. I was surprised how much everyone loved this. It's always the simplest games that keep kids entertained the most. Deko was in a weird mood at the time and would only race if I was holding his hand. So I didn't get any pics of him racing. Check out the face below.

 Deklan wanted a brownie cake. So I made a brownie on bottom with a cheesecake layer on top and used leftover coconut frosting (from my birthday cupcakes) to write on it.

The pinata was a hit! -literally. The hulk fists were so fun at Tripp's party that we had to use them again.

  Then we let the big boys have a turn

 It's always fun to go to Grandpa Woo Woo's house. Even better when it's your birthday. Deko got a lot of sweet gifts and memories from all his cousins. Happy 3rd Birthday Sweet Boy!

HULK Smash!

Tripp turned 5! He is getting so old (which does not mean I'm getting old;). He wanted a Hulk party and this is what he got:

 I found out that Tripp is an excellent pinata maker. He helped me make the pinata all week and then helped decorate it. I also made Tripp's shirt. But I made the mistake of making only one which upset my Deko, so I had to make another one for him. I got the idea here.

 We had pizza, GREEN salad, GREEN grapes, GREEN fluff, and of course HULK punch (Sprite, limes, and lime sherbet). It was hot! We saw lots of red faces during the party. We had also colored some villain pictures and put them on stakes and gave the kids water guns to "shoot the bad guys." They had fun with that but I didn't get any pics of it:( They also had a water balloon fight that I missed as well. But I heard a lot of balloons hit faces and then popped on the ground.

 And the highlight of the party was wearing Hulk masks and fists to beat the pinata. Everyone loved this part! Not gonna lie, I really wanted to punch it too. I got the idea for the masks here. I cut them out and my friend sewed them for me because she is awesome and I don't have a sewing machine.

 Diving in to get all that candy! Found out that chocolate in a pinata on a hot day was NOT a good idea.

 Tripp received a lot of fun presents

 This pic is blurry but this is what was left of the cupcakes. Didn't get a pic of that either. Can you tell I'm not the best photographer? They are supposed to look like little Hulks and we served them with GREEN mint brownie ice cream. I got the idea for the cupcakes here. 

Tripp told me it was the best birthday ever. So I guess we did alright. We might be seeing this party again since Deko was super jealous the whole time and says he wants a Hulk birthday too. We shall see...

Tripp the Photographer

Tuckered out

I set Raids down in his seat so I could pull some rolls out of the oven. I got the rolls out and turned around and found this:

 Really?!?! He was there for 2 seconds and passed out!

Body doubles

 Can you spot the real kids from the doubles? It's difficult, I know. These little tricksters....

Tripp's double is also sporting authentic Tripp undies to fool you even more. I think these are my favorite pics of Raidon so far since he's almost smiling in them and I love his little crossed legs.

I miss my baby

My poor Deko has been sick since Monday! We are on Day 5 of the sick train and I'm done. There is only so much puke a person should have to clean up from such a little body. I have washed every blanket in the house -twice! I miss my wild and crazy Deko Son. I am ready to clean up his disasters again and see his mischievous grin. Does anyone have any tips on how to beat this bug? The only good side to this is that I'm getting some serious cuddle time with my baby. Here's hoping my Deko will come back to me soon...
